Em 23 de março de 1976, há exatos 48 anos, a banda britânica de Heavy Metal, Judas Priest, lançava o seu segundo full lenght, “Sad Wings Of Destiny”, pelo selo Gull. Enfim, era definido o padrão do que chamamos Heavy tradicional. A produção do registro ficou por conta de Jeffery Calvert, Max West, assim como o próprio Judas Priest.
Apesar de ser o segundo álbum do Judas Priest, ele é realmente o primeiro clássico. Nele nasceram as canções: “Victim Of Changes”, “The Ripper” e “Tyrant”, e, dessa forma, um dos mais importantes nomes do Heavy Metal mundial, Judas Priest.
